Traveling to Indonesia, especially North Sulawesi Province, will give you an unforgettable experience.

However, if you have visited those places during your trip and want to find new places to unwind and relax while collecting new pictures, I may recommend a nice one.

Watch the Sunset From Tumaluntung Hill

Tumaluntung Hill (not officially named yet) in North Minahasa District that in my view, is one of the best spots to watch the sunset.

From the top of the hill, you can watch the round shape of the sunset, with its typical gold color, surrounded by orange, which is very captivating.

The clouds act as a canvas and reflect the sun’s rays making the colors even more vibrant, with the horizon of the blue sky.

More, you can also clearly catch the view of the parts of Airmadidi city, the Klabat Mount, the highway to Bitung City, and the glimpse of the Manado Tua Islands.

How To Get There?

For those of you who plan hire the local guide, you can ask him to bring you to the hill. But if you want to come alone or with your partners and friends, you may come through the highway.

From Klabat University, you can go straight to Tumaluntung village. You don’t have to worry cause there is only a one-way, so there is no way you will be lost. You will find the bridge above the new highway to Bitung (see Mount Klabat image), then you can clearly see the hill.

Mount Klabat.

And if I may recommend some tourism sites in North Minahasa District, you can go to Mount Klabat for hiking. If you want to let the wind of the sea softly blows your mind and body, you can go to the Likupang sub-district. Some famous tourist sites, like Pal Beach, Pulisan Beach, and Gangga Island, are there.
